In 2020, the KreativLandTransfer pilot project was launched to empower the sustainable growth of cultural and creative professionals in rural areas. From 2020 to 2023, a nationwide network of individuals and organisations in the cultural and creative sectors was fostered through a tandem programme. Six best-practice projects were identified, each of which then supported the development of two partner projects. The programme involved one-on-one mentoring sessions, mutual site visits, and collaborative workshops where all the participants could meet, share ideas, and learn from each other. Alongside the input from mentors and selected partners in the KreativLandTransfer community, external coaches also offered guidance on specific subjects, ensuring an exciting and productive time for all tandems. The resulting wealth of knowledge transfer has been documented on our open-access knowledge platform (only available in German).
NETWORK
In collaboration with partners from 13 regions, KreativLandTransfer has strengthened projects in the cultural and creative sector in rural areas. Its national network of partners has supported the nomination of best-practice projects that set the standard for fostering cultural and creative industries in rural Germany as well as the identification of potential tandem partners, and contributed to the nationwide application call.
