KreativLandTransfer
KreativLandTransfer is dedicated to the long-term strengthening of the cultural and creative industries in rural areas. We aim to focus on the needs and challenges facing individuals and groups in this sector. We’ve enabled a platform for networking and knowledge transfer by highlighting best practice examples at both the national and European level. We firmly believe this approach enables mutual learning and benefits all participants.
The KreativLandTransfer initiative receives support from Landesverband der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft Sachsen e.V. (Saxon Association of Cultural and Creative Industries) and its network of partners, which includes Kreative Deutschland and Fördernetzwerk Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft (Cultural and Creative Industries Support Network). This backing aids the networking and promotion of cultural and creative practitioners in rural areas.
Launched in 2020, the nationwide pilot project KreativLandTransfer is dedicated to supporting and sustainably advancing cultural and creative professionals in rural areas. Thanks to funding from the Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media and the Saxon Ministry for Regional Development, numerous stakeholders in the cultural and creative industries have been connected through a tandem programme from 2020 to 2023. Six best-practice projects were identified, each of which went on to support the development of two partner projects.
Starting in March 2023 with funding from the Saxon Ministry for Regional Development, KreativLandTransfer began broadening its gaze to include Europe. The goal was to identify rural areas with successful new regional value chains between cultural and creative industries and other small to medium-sized businesses. This research contributed to an open-access database compiling the key success factors for efficient collaboration.
